"Orange Juicer" is a 1971 VW Super Beetle being converted to operate as an electric vehicle. This setup will feature a 96 volt traction battery pack comprised of 16 U. S. Battery 125's, a Prestolite series DC traction motor, a Russco air-cooled motor controller, Russco DC-DC converter, regenerative braking using a Russco field converter with series/parallel battery switching, and E-Meter instrumentation. Range is 50 miles at 55 mph. Top speed is 70 mph. Weight is 2900 pounds.
